Car Rental

General Terms and Conditions when book a rental car with Fortune Bali Rentals.

1. A valid Driving License from your home country (place of residence) is acceptable or an International Driving Permit.
2. Minimum age of renter to rent a car from Fortune Bali Rentals must be between the ages of 18 to 70.
3. Minimum rental is 2 days all-year-round. Rental rate is inclusive of full coverage insurance for the rental car including any damage, loss of the car or any part of it. Full insurance coverage is subject to own risk excess Rp 800.000 (around USD 55) per occurrence. If not insured, any damage or loss of the car or any part of it, will be a customer’s own risk responsibility.
4. Self-driving rental rates are for 24 hours per day. Any late returns may result in extra hiring costs at daily rates. If the renter wish to extend the use of the car, then let us know by a simple phone call, WhatsApp or email as soon as you are aware, not less than 24 hours before the expiry date and time, otherwise the car may be pre-booked by another party. If the renter does not inform the rental company for more than 48 hours after expiry date and time, the rental company has the right to report it to the authority/police and stated that the rented vehicle has been lost. All the actions and consequences taken is fully responsibility of the renter.
5. Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances a chosen car model booked is not available. In this case we may be able to offer you a similar model or upgrade your chosen car.
6. The renter must sign the Contract Agreement before using the rental car.
7. The renter will be fully responsible for any damage, loss of the car or any part of it, if the vehicle is not driven on the right road surfaces (e.g. used for beach activities, courts, heavy mud off-road, etc.). These activities are deemed illegal in Indonesia and strict penalties will be applied.
8. The renter will be fully responsible to any consequences caused by actions of letting or giving the car to be driven by a person other than the renter which is stated in the contract agreement.
9. It is not permitted to drive the rental car beyond of Bali Main Island without approval of the rental company.
10. All rental rates are quoted in IDR. Payment by debit, credit card (Visa and MasterCard) are accepted and processed in IDR by law, our staff will have credit card terminal on pick up.
11. Fortune Bali Rentals requires one-day rental fee or at least equivalent to USD 25 (whichever greater) to confirm a booking. Payment link to confirm a booking will be sent to you once our reservation confirm availability and total price of your rental car. Remaining/balance payment payable when pick up the car in cash. If final/balance payment by debit or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) preferred, let us know to have card terminal available on the spot.
12. Fortune Bali Rentals prices outlined on this website are subject to change without prior notice. When a booking has been made, these costs are final.
13. Rental down-payments received are Non-Refundable, but in the event of a cancellation your booking can be used for an agreed alternative date or transferred to another person, if the specific model booked is available and only valid for 30 days after cancelling the booking. No refund for on-going, up-coming rental contract or early returning the rental car!
14. A self-drive service, fuel costs are the renter's responsibility. Renter must ONLY use Dexlite/Pertamina Dex fuel for Chevrolet Captiva (diesel engine) and Pertamax fuel in all of our other cars (gasoline engine). Renter must ONLY fill-up fuel at any authorized fuel stations (PERTAMINA/SPBU). A car rental that include driver service, fuel costs are included.
15. All cars were filled up at least 1/2 tank of fuel on delivery and should be returned with at least the same fuel level. In terms the fuel meter is lower upon return, renter must pay the differences in cash at the time of returning the car.
16. If renter found the car a flat or punctured tire during the rental, the renter may have this replaced or repaired at any car tires repair shop.
17. The rental agreement does NOT include extreme tire wear or damage, or battery replacement due to negligence from leaving the ignition, electrical lights or headlights on. Replacement and all associated costs will be the renter responsibility.
18. Fortune Bali Rentals is not liable for failure to perform our obligations within our hire agreements caused by issues beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to act of God, power failure, fire, flood, epidemic disease, war, riot, and terrorism.
19. Fortune Bali Rentals is not liable for any illegal conduct by the renter against the law of the Republic of Indonesia.
20. CAR PICK UP/DELIVERY, COLLECTION/DROP-OFF AND REGISTRATION
    • Free pick up/delivery and collection/drop-off service available at the following area; Bali's International Airport, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Canggu, Tanah Lot, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Nusadua, Sanur, Benoa Port, Denpasar and Central Ubud.
    • Pick up/delivery and collection/drop-off service at the following areas will be at extra charged:
      • Middle Bali - Gianyar, outskirt of central Ubud Rp 250.000, Bedugul, Munduk and surrounding area Rp 400.000
      • East Bali - Padangbai port and surrounding area Rp 350.000, Sidemen Rp 450.000, Tulamben, Amed and surrounding area Rp 550.000
      • North Bali - Singaraja, Gerokgak, Lovina and surrounding area Rp 500.000, Pemuteran and surrounding area Rp 700.000.
      • West Bali - Balian beach and surrounding area Rp 250.000, Medewi beach and surrounding area Rp 400.000, Gilimanuk port Rp 700.000
    • Car pick up registration: Renter's identity documents such as Passport, Driving License are required, the scan/photo of which will be taken on the spot along with a complete photo of the renter with a photo of the rental car when the rental car is picked up/delivered.
21. CAR RENTAL INSURANCE AND ACCIDENT PROCEDURES IN INDONESIA
    • It is very important to note that in Indonesia, if you are a foreigner and are involved in an incident regardless of fault, you probably be considered at fault. Your car rental insurance cover up to Rp 10.000.000 per occurrence including third party liability with own risk excess Rp 800.000 (around USD 55).
    • In the unfortunate case of an accident, theft, or any incident, please notify our staff immediately within working hours on the numbers given within your rental contract/agreement or website, please do not defer to the next day. We will attend to this incident, so we may potentially help or advise you with a police report if necessary.
    • If an accident occurs and after which our cars deemed to be un-roadworthy etc. and it is found that the renter/driver was negligent, under the influence alcohol or drugs, under aged, not in possession of a valid driving license or the person was not the nominated driver(s), the rental contract is immediately terminated without refund and all repairs, replacement and all associated costs will be the renter responsibility.
    • Please also note: All cars are delivered along with the 'STNK' registration and tax papers within the car. These documents are the legal documents required by the Indonesian traffic law and are always to be kept in the car just in case of having to be showed to the police. Please keep this document safe as losing these documents will incur a replacement fee of Rp 200.000 which will be the responsibility of the renter.
    • Car key, remote control and keyless remote control: If the renter loses or damages one of them, a replacement fee of IDR 350,000 (car key), IDR 500,000 (car key with remote system) and IDR 950,000 (car keyless remote system) will be charged.
22. Fortune Bali Rentals is not liable to refund any losses caused by travel related issues including but not limited to cancelled or delayed flights, late arrivals etc. Fortune Bali Rentals is also not responsible to any loss of belonging after the car has returned. In this instance, you may take up these types of issues with your own travel agent or insurer.
23. Other terms & conditions which not stated on this terms and conditions can be seen on rental car contract agreement.
24. The rental company has the right to update or modify the content of this terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
25. The rental company has the right to update, alter or modify the content of this website including prices, availability, discounts and other related content at any time without prior notice.

Scooter & Motorcycle Rental

General Terms and Conditions when book a scooter and motorcycle with Fortune Bali Rentals.

1. A valid Driver’s License from your home country (place of residence) is required, but if you don't have international license you may pay a fine (around USD 20) if police stop you.
2. Minimum age of renter to rent a motorbike must be between the ages of 18 to 70.
3. Minimum rental is 3 days all-year-round. Rental rate does NOT include insurance for the motorbike. Any damage, theft of the motorbike or any part of it will be the renter’s own responsibility. Reparation, replacement and all associated costs will be the renter responsibility.
4. Any late returns may result in extra hiring costs at daily rates. If the renter wish to extend the use of the motorbike, then let us know by a simple phone call, WhatsApp or email as soon as you are aware, not less than 24 hours before the expiry date and time, otherwise the motorbike may be pre-booked by another party. 8. The renter will be fully responsible to any consequences caused by actions of letting or giving the motorbike to be ridden by a person other than the renter which is stated in the contract agreement.
9. It is not permitted to ride the rental motorbike beyond of Bali Main Island without approval of the rental company.
10. Rental rates on this website are quoted in IDR, USD, AUD and EUR. We accept payment in cash IDR or by credit card (Visa, Master, JCB or American Express Card) are accepted, our staff will have credit card terminal on pick up.
11. We requires down payment equivalent to USD 15 to confirm a booking. Payment link to confirm a booking will be sent to you once our reservation confirm availability and total price of your rental motorbike. Remaining/balance payment payable when pick up the motorbike in cash. If final/balance payment by credit card (Visa, Master, JCB or American Express Card) preferred, let us know to have card terminal available on the spot.
12. Prices outlined on this website are subject to change without prior notice. When a booking has been made, these costs are final.

15. All motorbikes were filled up with full tank of fuel on pick-up and should be returned with at least the same fuel meter. In terms the fuel meter is lower upon return, renter must pay the differences in cash at the time of returning the motorbike.
16. If renter found the motorbike a flat or punctured tire during the rental, the renter may have this replaced or repaired at any motorbike tires repair shop.

20. MOTORBIKE PICK UP/DELIVERY, COLLECTION/DROP-OFF AND REGISTRATION
    • Free pick up/delivery and collection/drop-off service available at the following area; Bali's International Airport, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Canggu, Tanah Lot, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Nusadua, Sanur, Benoa Port, Denpasar and Central Ubud.
    • Pick up/delivery and collection/drop-off service at the following areas will be at extra charged per motorbike:
      • Middle Bali - Gianyar, outskirt of central Ubud Rp 250.000. Bedugul, Munduk and surrounding area Rp 400.000
      • East Bali - Padangbai port and surrounding area: Rp 350.000
      • West Bali - Balian beach and surrounding area: 250.000.
    • Motorbike pick up registration: Renter's document identities such as Passport, Driving License is required in which scan/photo will be taken on the spot along with renter's full photo with its rental motorbike photo-shoot when rental motorbike picked-up/delivered.
21. MOTORBIKE RENTAL INSURANCE AND ACCIDENT PROCEDURES IN INDONESIA
    1. It is very important to note that in Indonesia, if you are a foreigner and are involved in an incident regardless of fault, you probably be considered at fault. Your motorbike rental IS NOT insured, all costs incurred will be the renter’s own responsibility

If an accident occurs and after which our motorbikes deemed to be un-roadworthy etc. and it is found that the renter/rider was negligent, under the influence alcohol or drugs, under aged, not in possession of a valid driving license or the person was not the nominated renter(s), the rental contract is immediately terminated without refund and all repairs, replacement and all associated costs will be the renter responsibility.
    4. Please also note:
       All motorbikes are delivered along with the 'STNK' registration and tax papers within the motorbike. These documents are the legal documents required by the Indonesian traffic law and are always to be kept in the motorbike just in case of having to be showed to the police. Please keep this document safe as losing these documents will incur a replacement fee of Rp 500.000 which will be the responsibility of the renter.
    5. Motorbike key and remote control; if the renter losing of these will incur a replacement fee of Rp 350.000 (motorbike key) and Rp 600.000 (motorbike key with remote control).
22. The rental company is not liable to refund any losses caused by travel related issues including but not limited to cancelled or delayed flights, late arrivals etc. The rental company is also not responsible to any loss of belonging after the motorbike has returned. In this instance, you may take up these types of issues with your own travel agent or insurer.
23. Other terms & conditions which not stated on this terms and conditions can be seen on rental motorbike contract agreement.
24. The rental company has the right to update or modify the content of this terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
25. The rental company has the right to update, alter or modify the content of this website including prices, availability, discounts and other related content at any time without prior notice.
